To encourage lifelong learning, Alexandra Hospital sets aside a training fund for its employees. And, whenever the need arises, staff are granted examination leave.
The hospital also implemented Job Redesign Programme recently: Porters get to learn new skills and assume roles as patient care associates through a two-week training course on bedside care management, infection control and house-keeping.
Besides putting an emphasis on formal training, Alexandra's employees are also allow them to carry out their jobs efficiently.
