Working in the oil industry for more than 30 years has not prevented Chee Seng from picking up skills that are unrelated to his job.

He has taken IT, computer repair and even sports therapy courses. Because of his strong interest in sports, he has completed more than 20 courses related to massage and therapy.

In fact, he plans to work in sports therapy after he retires from the oil petroleum industry. His positive attitude towards work and learning has helped him earn the trust of his supervisors. For example, he helped the company save money by servicing the computers in the office, a skill he picked up from a computer repair course that he took.

Chee Seng has this advice for those who wish to further their studies: “You must take learning as a hobby and you have to enjoy what you study.”
