As a mature organisation with a significant
number of employees aged 40 and above, HDB recognises the
importance of re-training and lifelong learning.
It is therefore committed to developing its
people and has invested heavily in initiatives that help develop
its employees’ capabilities. These include the Self-Directed
Learning (SDL) and Continuing Education schemes.
The SDL helps mature employees attend short
part-time courses to meet their life-skill needs, while the
Continuing Education scheme is open to all employees.
Under this scheme, HDB offers employees sponsorship
for part-time courses that lead to qualifications at certificate,
diploma and degree levels. This popular scheme helps junior
employees equip themselves with skills and knowledge to further
their careers.
