It was a challenge to juggle work, study and family commitments but Eng Huat was determined to succeed, He often utilised time on train rides and lunch breaks to study.

After National Service, he joined S’pore Telecoms as a technician. Eager to upgrade his skills, he attended night classes and achieved a Higher Diploma in Computer Studies.

Eng Huat joined Starhub in 1998 as an Engineer. Two years later he was awarded a scholarship to pursue an MBA at the University of Dubuque in Iowa, US.

His commitment to constantly improve his skills to stay relevant, won him the Outstanding Innovation and Quality Circle Manager by Spring S’pore in 2005.
