Nathan began his career as a daily rated Electrician at the Ministry of Environment. He later joined SMRT as a Technician where he won the Model Worker Award.

He won the award again when he worked at the Water Reclamation Plant in PUB, which he joined in 2001.

Twice a week, Nathan goes for walks and runs to keep fit so that he can study at night. He completed O levels, NTC 3 in Vehicle Mechanic, Electrical Technology and higher NTC in Electrical Engineering. Currently he is pursuing a Diploma in Water Technology at Ngee Ann Polytechnic, sponsored by his company, PUB.

Working in the day and studying at night, Nathan still finds time to volunteer at the Taman Jurong Community Centre to organise activities for the Indian student community.

He shows us that time management and determination are winning combinations for success.
