Regina was an average student in her younger days. To relieve the financial burden of her parents who had to support two younger brothers through school, she gave tuition to fund her studies and contribute towards the family income.

She applied for a Nursing scholarship at Nanyang Polytechnic where she graduated in 2000.

Regina chose to work at the Institute of Mental Health (IMH) to care for the mentally ill. Under the IMH scholarship, she obtained an Advanced Diploma in Nursing (Mental Health).

Regina is involved in many projects and research writing to provide better care to patients who have won her several awards related to service delivery.
