As the largest scheduled bus service provider in Singapore transporting some 2.1 million passengers everyday, SBS Transit places utmost priority on employee training. Training programmes for its 5,000 bus captains are fully customized, with additional manpower brought in to cover them during training.

With improving bus technologies, its technicians are upgrading too. They used to focus only on vehicle maintenance but are now taught to upkeep complex electronic systems onboard the buses. In fact, they can even train up to cross over to be bus captains that open up new prospects for them to become Route Masters or Station Managers.
