Organised by MediaCorp Radio's Y.E.S. 93.3FM, Capital 95.8FM and Love 97.2FM, the Golden Mike Awards was a success last Saturday, 1 May 2004. Hundreds of avid listeners thronged Level 4 of OG Orchard Point to support their favourite DJs, as well as to find out who the deserving winners were.

MediaCorp Studios artistes like Chew Chor Meng and Fiona Xie presented awards for a total of 12 categories at the event, including "Most Friendly DJ", "Most Humorous DJ", and "Most Talented DJ", which were won by Chen Fenying (Love 97.2FM), Chen Liyi (Y.E.S. 93.3FM) and Dongfang Billy (Love 97.2FM).

The coveted title of "MediaCorp Radio's Chinese Stations Most Popular DJ" award was eventually shared by Zhou Chongqing (Y.E.S. 93.3FM) and Dongfang Billy (Love 97.2FM), as they received the greatest number of votes from the public who voted for them in the "Most Popular DJ" category. Wang Dicong won this award for Capital 95.8FM. The "Best DJ" awards went to Chen Liyi (Y.E.S. 93.3FM), Xu Bing (Capital 95.8FM) and Chen Biyu (Love 97.2FM), whose wins were decided by a panel of media and broadcasting professionals.

The next Golden Mike Awards will take place in 2006. See you then!
