MediaCorp Radio Awarded Frequency For New Station - Grooves 99.5FM

MediaCorp Radio has been awarded the 99.5FM frequency tender from the Media Development Authority of Singapore to run a new radio service.

The new station, GROOVES 99.5FM will have four distinctive programme belts - ArtsGroove, HomeGrooves, SmoothGrooves and YoungGrooves. Besides showcasing arts programming, local and new age contemporary music, the new station will also feature radio programmes by tertiary students.

Deputy General Manager, English Programming, Bernard Lim on the acquisition, "We are extremely excited that MDA has awarded us the frequency 99.5FM.

Grooves 99.5FM will be a trendy and hip station that caters to the local music and arts in Singapore. We will also be showcasing a much talked about music genre in the US and Europe called New Jazz. Can't wait to get this on the road.
