The crowning of the world's first Hollaback Crew
Witness history in the making as 987FM crowns the world's first 987 Hollaback Crew. The 987 Hollaback Crew's Grand Finals will take place this Saturday, 15 April 2006, from 4pm to 7pm at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. 10 teams will be battling it out in this first ever inter-school competition which packs the essence of cheerleading, rapping and percussion into one exhilarating performance.
987 Hollaback Crew is organised by MediaCorp Radio¡¯s 987FM, presented by Motorola and People¡¯s Association Youth Movement, with support from Singapore Sports Council and Team Singapore and MTV. This event will be graced by Dr Mohammed Maliki Bin Osman, Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports and Ministry of National Development. The ten teams which will be battling it out at the finals are as follows:

The artistes that will be making their special appearances at 987 Hollaback Crew Finals include The Click Five, Boston-based band with the hit single, ¡°Just the Girl,¡± the famous DJ duo, Don Richmond and Andrew Crothers from The Don and Drew Show and Ronin, one of Singapore's most popular and successful bands. 987FM DJs will also put up a special performance.
987 Hollaback Crew Grand Finals has received overwhelming response from the public. Tickets were given out through contests held on 987FM. A Best Banner Contest will be held on-site. Participants are encouraged to be creative and come up with innovative banner design. Tickets to the Finals will be given to the designers of The Best Banner.
