Marriage Convention 2007

Marriage Convention 2007 was back with a blast this year with more laughter and love in the air. Organised by MediaCorp Radio, the convention was conducted in English, Mandarin, Malay and Tamil from 30th March to 1st April, This series of seminars were organised in celebration of We Are Married!, and supported by the National Family Council, in partnership with Fei Yue Family Services.

Gracing the launch on 30th March was Mrs Yu-Foo Yee Shoon, Minister of State, Community Development, Youth and Sports who started the event on a lively note, sharing findings from Marriage Preparation Survey 2006 and personal anecdotes. Throughout the convention, a range of serious topics such as commitment and infidelity were discussed openly as the participants laughed and snuggled close to their better half while evaluating the tips shared by the panel of speakers.

Marriage Convention 2007 was an overwhelming success with tickets to all the seminars sold out despite an increase in the seating capacity from last year.

Based on the evaluation given by the participants, Marriage Convention 2007 was helpful and enjoyable. With the help of renowned speakers such as Dr John Van Epp and Dr Abraham Lee, issues and problems surrounding marriages were discussed openly and many couples were able to build up the confidence in establishing a stronger and fruitful marriage.

Mr Anthony Lim and Ms Desiree Ho, a loving couple who solemnized their marriage during 2007 Chingay Parade took part in the Marriage Convention 2007.
