Nominations Open for
Lifelong Learner Awards 2007

Singapore's nation-wide search for lifelong learners has returned! The annual Lifelong Learner Awards, organised by MediaCorp Radio, in partnership with the Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA), and supported by the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) and SPRING Singapore, will be open for nominations from 25 June 2007.

This year, Lifelong Learner Awards 2007 will continue to pay tribute to extraordinary individuals who have committed to continuous learning and training to progress in their careers or stay relevant in the changing economy, and companies that have systematically put in place systems and processes to enhance and maintain workers' employability and productivity. More than 20 awards will be given out in a ceremony officiated by President S R Nathan in October 2007.

Now into its sixth year, the Lifelong Learners Awards had commended 103 individuals and companies for their learning efforts. Through their exemplary efforts, they communicate the importance of lifelong learning to stay relevant amidst changes and remain competitive. It is hoped that this year, the Awards will continue to unveil more of such inspiring recipients.

Similar to past year's format, the Lifelong Learner Awards this year will have both the Individual and Corporate categories. Winners of the Individual Category will each receive a certificate along with a cash prize of $500, whilst each of their nominator will receive $200. For the Corporate Category, winning corporations will receive a plaque.

All members of the public are invited to participate in the nomination of individuals and companies whom they think are champions of lifelong learning. Nominations can be made from 25 June 2007 via the following channels:
