Making A Difference, Just One More Step Away!

We bring to you the latest update on MediaCorp's fundraising initiative "Making a Difference – A School For The Children" which started in September 2008.

The construction of the 3-storey school is near completion and classes are expected to resume in the new building by end June 2009.

Here's a sneak preview of the new building which will house 300 students in Shaanxi.

The official opening of the school is targeted for September 2009.

Backgrounder "Making a Difference - A School For The Children" is an initiative by MediaCorp Pte Ltd, in support of World Vision International (Singapore), to fund a school in Shaanxi – one of the heavily affected areas during the Sichuan-Wenchuan earthquake. Close to $100,000 was raised for this good cause and were channeled to World Vision Singapore to build a school in Shaanxi for the children to continue in their learning journey.
